Mulligans for Mental Illness
Navigating life with a mental illness can be tough, but that is why organizations like ours exist. By teaching others how to address mental health conditions and stigma, we can create a society that empowers mental health. We can create a society where individuals feel safe and confident in coming forward to find the help that they need.
Mulligans for Mental Illness is NAMI Northern Illinois’ annual event that includes a golf outing and After Hours event. All proceeds stay local and go directly back into offering our community: successful advocacy initiatives, educational courses & presentations, numerous support groups, growth in our NAMI Northern Illinois office, an operational resource phone line, countless volunteer opportunities, awareness events, and a voice for families touched by mental illness.
This year’s event will take place Monday, June 15, at a new location – Aldeen Golf Club. This beautiful, upscale course has been recognized as the best municipal golf course in Illinois by Golf Digest and as one of the Top 50 public golf courses in the U.S. by GolfAdvisor. We’re excited to partner with the Rockford Park District to host this event and offer a new spin on our popular annual golf outing. This will be our fourth outing, and in that time, our generous golfers, sponsors, and attendees have helped us raise around $50,000 for our programs and activities.
Knowing that 1 in 5 people nationally live with a mental illness, the need for our services is great and only looks to increase in the coming years. We need your help to continue our signature programs and expand those offerings to cover service gaps that we know exist.Mulligans for Mental Illness Sponsor Flyer 2020
