Why is Outreach important?
Outreach is an effort by NAMI volunteers to connect our organization’s ideas and practices to the efforts of other organizations, groups, specific audiences or the general public. Unlike marketing, outreach does not inherently revolve around a product or strategies to increase market share. Outreach often takes on an educational component (i.e., the dissemination of ideas). Our outreach strategies are linked to NAMI’s mission, as we define targets, goals, and milestones. Through Outreach, you can help change lives. Education is the beginning of something beautiful.
NAMI’s Outreach is offered through many different avenues:
- Health Fairs
- Group Presentations
- Community Events
- Business/Community Drop-Offs
- Media Resource Distribution
- Mental Health Days
- and on!
Please allow 3 weeks notice to come and present. We welcome any opportunity to bring mental health awareness to you and your members, always with the hope to end stigma.
